Corporate Social Investment
Corporate Social Investment is the backbone to MCM’s Goodie Bag service. We ensure that not only do companies and event participants benefit from brand exposure and product trial, but they are also supporting local non-profit organizations.
Goodie Bags for Cape Town based events are packed by Alta Du Toit After-Care, a facility focussing on the needs of intellectually disabled adults, who may be multi-disabled. For Johannesburg events, we work with Services for the Blind, who run extensive training programs in skills of daily living, mobility, Braille and entrepreneurial development.

The Loeries Goodie Bags were packed by Alta du Toit After-Care. Sorting and packing items and Goodie Bags forms part of the residents therapy, as does woodwork, handwork, weaving and paper making.
Alta Du Toit After-Care originated in 1978 from the Alta Du Toit School for disabled persons. The After-Care extended from one hostel with 25 residents, to 3 hostels with 168 residents, a life right’s unit with 25 residents, 88 adults in day-care and well-developed training areas. In the different residences, each person is offered a loving and safe environment. With the necessary supervision, support and care, all their needs are provided forby full-time caregivers. Meals, washing, a hair salon, and cleaning services are available and excellent medical services are offered to the residents. Sports such as athletics and floor hockey are offered, and Alta du Toit After-Care is a member of the Special Olympics Organisation. A few of the residents have participated in international events. What does the person with intellectual disability ask of us? “Accept me as I am and offer me a normal existence space with lots of love. My basic needs centre around comfort, happiness and routine. As long as I am cared for, can work according to my capabilities and get attention in a routine environment, I am happy.” 94.7 Cycle Challenge Goodie Bags
